Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports (BPES)

The Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports (BPES) is a four-year undergraduate programme designed to prepare students for professional careers in Physical Education, Sports Sciences, coaching, fitness, health promotion, sports management, and allied fields. The programme provides a balanced curriculum that combines theoretical knowledge with practical training, enabling students to develop the skills and competencies required to excel in the field of Physical Education and Sports.

The curriculum focuses on scientific principles of physical education, sports training, exercise science, health education, sports psychology, sports management, anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and teaching methodologies. Students also receive extensive practical exposure through sports participation, coaching practice, fitness training, and field-based learning experiences.

The School of Physical Education and Sports Sciences (SPESS), Mahatma Gandhi University, is responsible for coordinating and conducting the admission process for the BPES programme on behalf of Mahatma Gandhi University.

Please Note: The BPES programme is not offered at the SPESS campus. Students admitted through the University admission process will pursue the programme at the participating affiliated colleges of Mahatma Gandhi University.
